OUR MISSION

 

The Suffolk County Caribbean American Cultural Association (SCCACA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located on Long Island in Suffolk County, New York.  

Our mission is to create change throughout Suffolk County and in other communities across New York State by providing culturally diverse musical activities and recreational events for the youth and adults. These activities focus on empowering the next gerneration to grow and succeed while establishing long-lasting ties between people of differing cultures.

PLANNING

AT SCCACA WE CARE ABOUT THE YOUTH  AND THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITY. WE HAVE COMMITTED TO BAN TOGETHER  TO TEACH WHAT IN THE AREAS THAT WE ARE  SKILLED. AND TO RAISE MONEY TO PROVIDE A "SAFE PLACE" WHERE THE YOUTH CAN GATHER TOGETHER TO :

1) DISCUSS LIFE ISSUES WITH MENTORS

2) BECOME EDUCATED BY ONE  ANOTHER  ON A PEER LEVEL AND TAUGHT ABOUT CULTURE THROUGH OUR PROGRAMS WHICH FOCUS ON  HISTORY THROUGH MUSIC.

STRATEGY

1 )BOAT RIDES

2) DANCES

3) PARADES... ETC.

THROUGH EVENTS WE CAN DRAW THE INTEREST OF THE YOUTH,  ADULTS AND THE COMMUNITY, IN HOPES THAT WE CAN GAIN  SUPPORT FOR THE BIGGER CAUSE.

RESULTS

OUR RESULTS ARE PROVEN BY THE LIFE OF SOME OF THE YOUTH WHO HAVE MADE A 360 DEGREE TURN FOR THE BETTER.
